Vitamin D deficiency is a problem that can enter the lives of our children and can cause problems that truly affect their lives in a negative way. Vitamin d among other functions, is responsible for the correct growth and development of muscles and bones. A vitamin deficiency of this type will cause the appearance of rickets.
Kids with the disease called rickets will grow with bowed limbs de to a poor strength in the bone and muscular system. It is important that we as parents provide them with a healthy life and all the necessary vitamins; in this case the vitamin is not acquired through food but through Sun exposure. Factors like for example excessive sunscreen can hinder the ability to absorb and process the vitamins.
It is recommended that sunscreen is put on after 30 minutes of sun exposure. Also, let your children play outside; they love it and it is good for their health.
